Avida Engineering COMPLETED PROJECTS
Gardabani Power Plant
The project was completed in December 2019. In March 2020, GNERC granted an electricity generation license to Gardabani 2 LLC, and the power plant was subsequently commissioned the same year. The plant has an installed capacity of 230 MW, matching that of the first energy-efficient thermal power plant in Gardabani, which began operation in 2015. It is equipped with modern gas- and steam-turbine generators supplied by General Electric. The completion of this project holds major strategic importance for the sustainability of Georgia’s energy system and the continued development of its energy sector.
Work performed:
Supporting layout design for piping systems, foundations, or cable routing. Supplying specialized components such as valves, pumps, sensors, control panels, or structural elements. Organising Installation of mechanical and electrical systems under the supervision of the contractor.
HVC Alkmaar plant
HVC Group is a modern public waste services company located in the city of Alkmaar north of Amsterdam, where it operates the HVC Alkmaar plant. Alkmaar comprises four incineration lines that process about 660,000 metric tons of domestic and industrial waste from more than one million residents, mainly in northern Netherlands.
From this waste stream, the plant’s two steam turbines (50 MW per machine) produce electrical energy for more than 100,000 people and hot water for a district heating network in an industrial park and residential districts in the neighbourhood.
Work performed:
Source replacement parts for legacy equipment no longer supplied by OEMs. Providing custom skid units or modular assemblies for easy integration on-site.
Biomass Power Generation Plant
This project is an environmentally friendly, high-efficiency biomass power plant constructed on idle land owned by ENEOS Corporation for the purpose of power generation utilising the renewable energy feed-in tariff system. The facility uses coconut palm husks as fuel and has a generating capacity of 74.9 MW, the largest scale in Japan.
As the global trend toward low-carbon and decarbonization accelerates, our group will continue to contribute to the realisation of a sustainable society by expanding the use of renewable energy generation in Japan and abroad.
Work performed: participated in this project while assisting in the design and sourcing of the equipment outside of Japan.
Rompetrol CoGen Power Project
The Cogeneration Plant on the Petromidia platform is one of the most significant energy projects developed in Romania in recent years. The Kazakh-Romanian Energy Investment Fund signed an EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) contract with Turkish firm Çalık Enerji for the turnkey development of the cogeneration plant. At the same time, it concluded a Long-Term Service Agreement (LTSA) with Siemens Energy, covering maintenance of the gas turbines.
Work performed: Assisted with design and engineering review, sourcing of specialised components and commissioning assistance.
San Severo onshore wind farm
The 54 megawatt (MW) San Severo wind farm consists of 12 turbines, each with a capacity of 4.5 MW.
Located in the province of Foggia in the municipality of San Severo, the wind farm will supply up to 55,000 Italian households with green electricity.
Work performed: Supply of components and logistics support.
Saint-Brieuc offshore wind power project
Offshore wind farm, commissioned in 2024, has a total installed capacity of 496 megawatts (MW), capable of generating enough clean energy for 835,000 people.
